Pooling Options

Month Pooling

Monthly postpaid plan minutes can be pooled across months into yearly bundles. Pooling allows the users to take advantage of their minutes when they need them most during the year. All data calls must be through the OCENS Iridium Portal or higher rates apply. All pooled minutes must be used within a one year period. Pooled minutes can be renewed at any time. Renewal extends the contract for an additional 12 months from the renewal date. Customer is billed for included minutes at start of contract period. Additional minute usage is billed on a monthly basis.

Fleet Pooling

Postpaid accounts that are pooled across months can then also be grouped into airtime pools across vessels in order to share their collective airtime within this vessel group. For example, if five terminals buy the 60 bundle and specify they desire fleet pooling, each terminal would pay $1439 for the year (month pooling), thereby creating a pool of 3600 minutes of airtime that could be shared among the five units. There is no limit to the number of units that might form a group and share the minutes.
